Ok, I know it has been forever since I have blogged. I'm a bad girl:( I need to catch up on all the new things I have been up to. I have been reborning baby dolls and having a BLAST! These are some pictures of babies who have found new homes.

My First Reborn Baby
The last couple of weeks I have been working on my first attempt to reborn a baby doll. For those of you who don't know what a reborn baby is I will explain. First you start with a kit which is the plastic head, arms and legs sometime the torso. I also used a doe suade body. The plastic parts are painted with layers of heat set paints. The paints are heat set between each layer. Then the eyes are glued in. The hair is rooted with a felting needle. Then you weight your body parts. This makes the baby feel like the weight of a real baby. Then you attach the parts to the soft body that has been weighted also.
This little baby is only 10". She was fun to make, I can't wait to get started on another. I hope with practice I will improve with each one I make.
